China's State Food and Drug Administration has issued a document which requires that information on food be published periodically in the interest of food safety.
The document puts forward tasks and measures for the regulation of food services. Regarding operations management, it says that criteria shall depend on the results of inspection of food service providers and information on food information shall be released periodically to ensure the operation of all food service providers is within the law.
For emergency treatment, it says that local food and drug departments shall set up a food emergency pre-warning mechanism to make sure that all the major food accidents can be dealt with in a comprehensive way.
In addition, SFDA states that each region shall create some food safety models like a demonstration area, a demonstration street, a demonstration school or a demonstration store according to their local conditions and work out guidelines for the supervision of the food safety of small-scale food service providers.
