From April 28, 2010, General Motors China Investment Company is to recall 7,942 imported Cadillac CTS cars on the Chinese mainland due to problems with the front brake hoses.
It is learned that the rubber part of the brake lining can trap water with tainted with chemicals, which may lead to corrosion of the brake lining's connection point with the brake cylinder and this could cause leakages of brake fluid.
It is said that the problem will affect braking and ultimately driving safety.
GM says it will contact car owners from April 28, 2010 and replace the brake hose for them free of charge.
