China's Ministry of Education has issued a circular on the promotion of the employment of college students who will graduate in 2010.
The ministry asks education departments and institutions of higher learning of various levels to take practical measures to facilitate the employment of college students.
The measures include: making efforts to expand new employment channels and further improve policies to promote college graduate employment; increasing job opportunities for college graduates; encouraging college graduates to start a business on their own; improving the quality of employment guidance; offering employment aid to special groups; pushing for a new round of reform on advanced education; and actively guiding students in changing their expectations on employment.
