China Resources Power Holdings Company, a subsidiary of China Resources (Holdings) Company, has admitted that three of its affiliates have been involved in transactions with Control Components Inc from the United States.
Earlier, the United States Department of Justice had disclosed that CCI had bribed companies in some countries, including nine energy companies in China, in exchange for making deals. So far, China National Offshore Oil Corporation has responded by saying that none of its employees accepted bribes from CCI while the rest are busying conducting internal audits.
China Resources Power Holdings is said to be the latest Chinese company that has announced the results of an internal audit. The Hong Kong listed company published an announcement recently which said that it began investigations on its affiliate companies and employees as soon as it learned about the investigation of CCI by the United States Department of Justice; and none of its employees were found to have accepted any bribes from CCI.
According to the feedback from CCI and IMI, the parent company of CCI, three affiliated enterprises of China Resources have been involved in trading with CCI, and CCI paid commission to two agents of China Resources Hubei but there is no evidence showing that it had paid any money to any employees of China Resources Holdings.
China Resources Holdings said it would proceed with its investigation to give a clear answer to the business community as well as its employees and shareholders.
