According to China's Xinhua News Agency, China and Russia will set up a wildlife protection zone on the border between the two countries to protect rare animals such as the Northeast Tiger.
Russian media quoted Russia's environment authority as saying that Russia and China had reached an agreement on the establishment of a wild animal protection zone on the borders of the two countries.
The Northeast Tiger, which is called Amur Tiger or Siberian Tiger in Russia, is a rare species that mainly lives in northeast China, Siberia, and Far East region of Russia and has been listed by the World Wildlife Fund as one of the ten most endangered species in the world.
