According to local media, China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has refused to disclose the details of a report on rolling mills, to the dissatisfaction of many corporate users.
At the end of 2007, AQSIQ organized experts to compile a report of the test results on rolling mills made by Zhengzhou Top Company which deputies to the National People's Congress claimed for three years were substandard products, however, since then AQSIQ has refused six times to reveal the details of this report to deputies of the NPC and the concerned companies. As a result, the NPC deputies believe that AQSIQ is covering up for ZTC and making other companies suffer great losses.
It is reported that a number of Chinese companies, including Zhejiang Chuangye Baoban Company, spent a great deal of money purchasing rolling mills made by ZTC, but they suffered great losses as the product can not achieve its specified capacities.
Gao Jianzhong from AQSIQ is reported to have said that there is no such a report or conclusion and he knows nothing about these enterprises.
