The Bank of China has introduced a Braille version of a bilingual Olympic service manual to meet the needs of blind Chinese and English speakers.
The bank has done much preparatory work in recent years for the Beijing Paralympic Games. It has been constructing barrier-free facilities such as wheelchair ramps, lower counters and barrier-free signs in its service outlets. Now more than 180 outlets in Beijing are barrier free.
Tellers and lobby managers have also received training in sign language training as well as regular training in foreign languages and on business etiquette.
The Olympic Green Channel has been opened for the convenience of foreign athletes, coaches, and media staff that came to Beijing for the Paralympics.
