A task-force headed by a vice governor of Hainan province will be set up to coordinate the management of holiday tourism throughout the province and it will carry out inspections and supervisions on the behavior of the local affiliates.
The task-force will be made up of 21 units including Hainan Provincial Tourism Commission, Hainan Public Security Department, and Hainan Pricing Department, and they will work closely with each other to fulfill their respective duties with regard to tourism management.
Meanwhile, task-forces of city and county levels will also be established under the supervision of the head of the municipal or county government. These local task forces will be fully responsible for the management of tourism in their region, including the management of the tourism market, tourism pricing, social security, sanitation and environmental issues, and traffic and tourism safety.
Hainan province states that it will punish severely anyone breaking holiday market rules and reward those who have made remarkable achievements in tourism management.
It is reported that Hainan has decreed that during the upcoming May Day holiday, the room rates of all hotels in the province shall not be increased more than 50% compared with prices charged before the holiday.
