According to the Heilongjiang New Energy and Renewable Energy Development Plan which has just been implemented, Harbin, the capital city of Heilongjiang province, will set up 59 new energy and renewable energy projects between 2010 and 2020, with a total investment of CNY45.27 billion.
The plan states that new energy will be a sector of strategic importance for Heilongjiang and the province will strengthen its efforts to develop wind power, speed up the development of hydropower, nuclear and wind power equipment, and develop the photovoltaic industry, integrated gasification combined cycle equipment, new energy vehicles, an intelligent grid, and other new energy facilities.
It is learned that of the 59 new energy projects, one is a photovoltaic power project, 50 are wind power projects, two are water conservation projects, four are bio-mass comprehensive utility projects, and two are solar power projects.
