According to foreign media, Wal-Mart will recall 1.5 million DVD players because of a potential fire hazard.
It was reported that the DVD players, which have the brand of Durabrand, were made in China and sold between January 2006 and July 2009 for a price of about USD29 each. Wal-Mart said these products might cause a fire as a result of overheating.
Wal-Mart said it had received 12 reports of overheating of the DVD players, and five of these were said to have caused fires but there was no report of personal injury.
